Takeoff's Debut Studio Album "The Last Rocket" Review - Rappers Get Money
The Last Rocket is the debut studio album by American rapper Takeoff. It was released on November 2, 2018, by Capitol Records, Motown and Quality Control Music.
Now let me explain my brief history of listening to the Migos.. “Juug Season” came out in 2011 and I was about it. The energy, the raw authenticity of lingo they used with descriptive tracks of trapping and that lifestyle captivated me with motivation to grind harder than ever. I was just beginning my descent into the music industry when that album had dropped.
That was one of the albums along with Juicy J’s “Stay Trippy” that made me realize that I could spit about whatever the f*ck I wanted to and people could love me for it or learn to love me for it when they were to realize that I was not going to fold..
When Migos started their music industry take over with “Stir Fry” & “Bad And Boujee” I was really rocking with their vibe and respected the wave that they had created but I was beginning to realize that they had a pattern of how they were dropping tracks and I just kind of expected them to have the same type of releases over time.
I feel like Takeoff has created a masterpiece. This album rides like a movie, from a-z I feel like it tells a story with music production. The lyricism is typical Migos style lyrics. But the producer really shines through on this album. I could imagine that the “Smokability” factor is a 10/10. It just sucks that I am taking a break..
How do you feel about this album?
